When Chandani planned her first wedding at the young age of 18, she didn’t have any formal training. She did, however, have a strong understanding of South Asian culture and the meaning and sentiment behind unique South Asian wedding traditions.
Now, 15 years later, Chandani has planned innumerable South Asian weddings. She has an even deeper understanding behind the traditions. Furthermore, not only is she well attune to the needs of the excited bride and groom, but also their families, the venue, vendors, and much more. She is a well known planner in the coveted DC metropolitan area as well as Chicagoland.
Everything Chandani learned was through her own invaluable experiences over 15 years and in depth research. She didn’t have an expert or mentor whom she could consult for direction. It was a challenging and lonely process.
Chandani would like to provide mentorship and formal training to budding event planners. She now offers career coaching to those looking to join this industry and also to wedding planners and venues who would like to widen their breadth of knowledge about South Asian culture and marriage.
